the sponge is taking revenge.I have said to you in a childish outburst of public fury  that you are neither the limited edition human being  sought after by starry-eyed fans and collectors,  nor the long-suffering heroine of modern tragedy,  the revered household name among the peasants and nobility  of centuries long past,  but then I minced the words that struck you and bounced off  and apologised and moved on, because  hurtful facts don't come easy to your best friend.   
I have also seated myself beside you,  casting aside trouble and pain to hear your voice  describe the cold night that has fallen over you, the sponge is taking revenge.

don't say my nameI gave you two million spoken words in return for  the miserable zero point two you gave me all year,  and I wonder if you ever heard any of them  although they were never meant for you,  but I don't doubt that there were one too many  eavesdroppers and scared rumours  going around within the grey walls of our prison  and if bricks have ears, then so do nitrogen molecules,  and I know you've caught a whisper or two you shouldn't have  (along with some that were genuinely spoken for you) but   
I could have stood and waited and bitten my lip until it bled,  and you wouldn't have given don't say my name

Push and PullYou and I are locked beyond extrication in orbit around  entangled parallel games of push and pull,  and the players just aren't the same like they should be,  and I'm reminded of that cruel fact  every time I roll the dice and deal myself lousy cards  while you're pacing around someone else's table,  but we both are inexplicably ignored,  and continue on our lonely paths.   
But we are not playing Solitaire,  and we by ourselves make no progress without  each other's presence, but if a decision was possible,  then you would be winning and I would be losing  and we all know it. Push and Pull

finally an update

as it's been two years, and i really feel guilty about just vanishing from devart without a word, i thought i'd just update this thing at long last and let everyone know what i've been doing.

i have graduated from high school and am now enrolled in a psychology diploma course in a local polytechnic. i'm not entirely sure whether to be thrilled about this or kicking myself about not going to college. term starts in mid-april. for the moment i'm working on my various novels, working now and then, and eating lots of chocolate - generally bumming around in an awkward "between worlds" phase.

i now write mostly prose (the poetry muse quailed before schoolwork and various other real-life issues and will not come back now), which i post on my livejournal.

oh, and i'm taking part in script frenzy next month. whoo.

that's about it, my life is rather boring. mmm. <3
